CHAUFFEUR PARKING SERVICE AND SELF PARK
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PARKING FRIEND.COM AND FOLLOW THE PROCEDURES RECOMMENDED IN THOSE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, AS THEY ARE FOR YOUR BENEFIT. SHOULD YOU WISH TO MAKE A COMPLAINT YOU ARE REQUESTED TO FOLLOW THE COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE SET OUT IN CONDITION NUMBER 2 BELOW WHICH WILL ENSURE THAT YOUR COMPLAINT IS BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE MANAGEMENT WITHOUT DELAY.
1. PARKING-FRIEND.COM’S LIABILITY
Whilst every effort is made to make the Car Parks secure and to collect and deliver customers’ cars safely to and from the Airport – by means of trained staff, well maintained Vehicles and equipment, security barriers, security fences and surveillance – PARKING-FRIEND.COM cannot guarantee the security of your Vehicle nor its contents nor your belongings nor your personal safety.
You are required to retain the return instructions/numbered receipt for your car in a safe place and be ready to present it on your return.
PARKING-FRIEND.COM, its employees and agents;
- Will accept liability in respect of any loss or theft of or from or misdelivery of or temporary failure to deliver or damage to your Vehicle or its contents
- that may arise only where the same is proved and to the extent that it is proved to be caused by their negligence, wilful act or default or breach of statutory duty
- and only if the loss or damage is reported before the Vehicle is driven away from the airport by its owner.
- Will accept liability for defects to a customer’s vehicle that leave the vehicle un-driveable as a result. The liability applies subject to proof of un-drivability and cause by negligence of PARKING-FRIEND.COM. In such cases PARKING-FRIEND.COM will provide a temporary replacement vehicle. Provided the customer is able to arrange fully comprehensive insurance cover for the temporary replacement vehicle, for the period the replacement vehicle is in the customer’s custody, and until returned to PARKING-FRIEND.COM.
- In the event PARKING-FRIEND.COM accepts liability for defects to a customer’s vehicle that remains driveable the liability applies subject to proof of un-drivability and cause by negligence of PARKING-FRIEND.COM. PARKING-FRIEND.COM will arrange for an independent engineer to contact the customer to arrange for the remedial work to be carried out by a repairer acceptable to both the customer, and PARKING-FRIEND.COM. It is a requirement that the repairer provides a replacement vehicle, at the repairer’s expense, to the customer, for the duration of the repairs, and until the return of the customer’s vehicle to the customer. The customer shall be responsible for arranging insurance cover for the vehicle provided by the repairer, that is acceptable to the repairer, for the duration of the repairs, and until such time as the replacement vehicle has been returned to the repairer by the customer.
- Does not accept liability for damage to vehicles or other property arising from acts of nature as the Car Parks’ open-air surface operations. PARKING-FRIEND.COM will also not accept responsibility for damaged windscreens or other glass. Liability will be accepted upon proof of negligence of PARKING-FRIEND.COM by the customer. PARKING-FRIEND.COM does not accept responsibility for any mechanical or electrical failure to vehicles whilst in its custody. Nor will PARKING-FRIEND.COM accept responsibility for damaged or punctured tyres, only where it the same is proved to be caused by their negligence.
- Will accept liability in respect of the death or personal injury or loss or damage to personal belongings sustained by the customers and others in the Car Parks only where the same is proved and to the extent that it is proved to be caused by their negligence, wilful default or breach of statutory duty.
- Cannot be held responsible if you lose your return instructions/ numbered receipt and this is presented to PARKING-FRIEND.COM by a third party who uses it to fraudulently take delivery of your car. Your attention is drawn to this exclusion of liability in our Booking Forms and notices at the Car Parks.
- Parking Friend may when necessary use other private and secure parkings temporarily and will assume the parking costs thereof providing the client will arrive to collect thier car on the agreed day and time.
2. COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
Claims cannot be considered once vehicles have left the pick-up point, having been returned by the Parking Friend driver to its owner. Please check your car before leaving the pick-up point. Should your vehicle be damaged whilst in our care or should we lose any of your possessions from the vehicle whilst in our care, you must immediately inform the PARKING-FRIEND.COM employee serving you. In case of theft, immediately inform the police and notify your insurer. In the event the claim is disputed, you must give written notice containing full details of the occurrence to PARKING-FRIEND.COM. Before submitting a claim to PARKING-FRIEND.COM, customers are requested to check Condition No 1 and to satisfy themselves that their claim falls within PARKING-FRIEND.COM’s area of responsibility. Failure to comply with the above procedure may prejudice your position as a claimant.
3. SECURITY OF VEHICLE AND CONTENTS AND BAGGAGE
Unless requested by PARKING-FRIEND.COM or one of its employees or agents not to do so, please ensure before handing over your car to the ParkingFriend driver that all windows of your Vehicle are securely closed and valuables are taken out of the car. PARKING-FRIEND.COM accepts no liability for valuables or other loose items left behind in the car. Please be reminded that your motor insurance policy may not cover personal or loose possessions left behind in your Vehicle.
4. TIME OF ARRIVAL (for customers using our airport meet-and-greet service)
Customers are advised to allow for sufficient journey time to arrive at the Airport Terminal. The Parking Friend driver will wait on you for 15 minutes after the agreed meeting time unless you have contacted ParkingFriend to advise of your delay. ParkingFriend will then contact your designated driver in order to decide whether he shall wait on you or return at a later point. If there is no predetermined meeting time Parking friend will track your flight and will be in the designated meeting point 20 minutes after your flight has landed.
4. TIME OF ARRIVAL (for customers not using our airport meet-and-greet service)

5. BOOKINGS PROCEDURE, PRICES, CANCELLATION AND EARLY RETURNS
Confirmation of Booking does not entitle the customer to any particular space in the Car Parks or to priority over other customers, unless specifically agreed. Please keep your individual return instructions card as identification of your right to drive away your car on return. In the interest of the customer PARKING-FRIEND.COM reserves the right not to release the Vehicle in the absence of acceptable identification.
Prices may be reviewed from time to time and whilst every effort will be made not to change prices during a period when they have been expressed to be valid, PARKING-FRIEND.COM reserves the right to change prices whether or not it gives notice of its intention to do so.
No Shows and cancellations within two hours of the agreed meeting time will be subject to a charge of 35CHF.
You must follow the precise instructions relating to your return that are handed to you by the Parking Friend chauffeur on your departure.
6. MOVING AND RELOCATION OF VEHICLES
Before handing over your car to a PARKING-FRIEND.Com driver you are required to make sure the vehicle is legally roadworthy, taxed and possess all the relevant documentation. PARKING-FRIEND.COM reserves the right to move the Vehicle within or outside the Car Parks by driving or otherwise to such extent as PARKING-FRIEND.COM, or its servants may in their discretion think necessary for the efficient arrangement of its parking facilities at the Car Parks. It will be necessary in the exercise of the rights conferred upon PARKING-FRIEND.COM under this condition, for the Parking Friend chauffeur to have the right to drive or otherwise take the Vehicle on the public highway. The Parking Friend drivers are fully insured by PARKING-FRIEND.COM for this purpose.
7. LIENS & AGENCY
- Any Vehicle left in the Car Parks or serviced by PARKING-FRIEND.COM is subject to a lien for all charges due or charges accruing from the Customer to PARKING-FRIEND.COM, and a general lien for all and any monies due from the Customer to PARKING-FRIEND.COM. Such liens apply whenever the Vehicle is in the Car Parks, notwithstanding that it may have been removed from time to time. If the said lien is not satisfied by the payment, within 28 days of notice given by PARKING-FRIEND.COM of its intention to sell the Vehicle in default of payment, PARKING-FRIEND.COM may sell the Vehicle by auction or otherwise. The proceeds of sale may be applied in and towards satisfaction of all sums owing to PARKING-FRIEND.COM by the customer together with the expenses of the sale. In connection with such sale PARKING-FRIEND.COM shall be entitled to charge reasonable garage charges in respect of the period during which the Vehicle is in the possession of PARKING-FRIEND.COM. Any balance of purchase price remaining after satisfaction of such sums shall be held by PARKING-FRIEND.COM on behalf of the registered owner of the Vehicle. Notice of intention aforesaid shall be deemed to have been properly and sufficiently given by the sending of written notice by prepaid post, addressed to the registered owner at his known address, whether or not the same is actually received.
- Every person who enters into a contract with PARKING-FRIEND.COM for the parking of a Vehicle in the Car Parks does so on behalf of themselves and all other persons having any proprietary, possessory or other financial or material interest in the Vehicle they hand over to PARKING-FRIEND.COM.
8. DEFINITIONS
- PARKING-FRIEND.COM shall mean JD SERVICES GMBH, trading under Parking Friend
- ‘Vehicle’ shall mean the Vehicle which is received into the Car Parks and shall include a car, caravan, caravanette, dormobile, mobile home, transit van, lorry, motorcycle and other mechanical device on wheels, its equipment and fixed accessories.
- ‘Car Parks’ shall mean any car park used by PARKING FRIEND for the purpose of fulfilling its contractual obligations to the customer.
- ‘PARKING FRIEND chauffeur’ shall mean a chauffeur employed (whether directly or via an agency) for the purposes of meeting customers and driving their cars to and from the airport and the Car Parks.
9. VARIATIONS OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
No person has any authority to vary or alter these Terms and Conditions unless such variation is in writing under the hand of PARKING-FRIEND.COM Secretary or a Director of PARKING-FRIEND.COM.
